PKL5 Match 4 preview: Telugu Titans v Patna Pirates

The fourth match of the ProKabaddi season sees Telugu Titans again, this time taking on Patna Pirates. Both of these teams are in zone B and you can see how the league works and which teams are in which zone here: VIVO ProKabaddi Season 5 Preview.
Match Prediction
After Telugu Titan’s success in their first match I expect very little to change from them. I also expect this to be a much tougher test with Patna Pirates being a more experienced team than Tamil Thalaivas. No doubt Rahul Chaudhari will look to star again for the Titan’s backed up by Nilesh Salunke, with Vishal Bhardwaj continuing his fine form in defence. Since this is a tougher game I expect Rakesh Kumar to be more involved picking up vital points at tough times in the match.
This is Patna Pirates’ first game but one they wish to start well. No doubt star raider Pardeep Narwal will look to continue his fine form from seasons 3 and 4, backed up by Monu Goyat. In defence Vishal Mane is a talented defender and does not hold back although apart from these 3 Patna have a relatively inexperienced side. Having already played a match and with more experience I expect Telugu to win this game too, although perhaps it will be closer than expected!
Prediction: Telugu Titans 35-32 Patna Pirates
Players To Watch
- Top raiders Rahul Chaudhari and Pardeep Narwal, will look to bag the majority of the raid points, backed up by Nilesh Salunke and Monu Goyat, playing for Telugu and Patna respectively.
- In defence watch out for Iranian Farhad Milaghardan and Vishal Bhardwaj both playing for Telugu Titans. For Patna their star defender Vishal Mane will hope to bag the majority of the defensive points.
- Also if Mohammad Maghsoudlou is playing for Patna then his versatility in raiding and defending will be enjoyable to watch.
